Lean UX Amsterdam - Lean Beer

Lean Beer is based on Lean Coffee gatherings. It is a structured, but agenda-less meeting. Participants gather, build an agenda, and begin talking. So the actual topic of the evening is going to be decided by you guys on the evening it self.

What do you want to talk about over some drinks? We're very curious if you like the lean beer concept, so please share your thoughts.

Of course there will be beer, post-its and sharpies. Hope to see you on the 1st of july!

A waste of time. I hoped to learn a thing or two about effective UI Design. Only one attendant told something valuable about the advantage of testing your ideas during the design stage, that was it. Especially the host was amazingly amateurish, apart from the fact that she could not explain what LeanUX actually is or even giving one simple example, she finished the meetup with the statement that she was kind of disappointed with the "low level" of the attendees... curious if she realizes what kind of UX she was creating there... ...lean? definitely!

Would have been great if there was at least a short presentation of a professional
in the Lean UX field showing how the UX for a company had dramatically improved after
applying Lean UX principles. Many practical examples could be given about what went good or wrong in the process and what was learned from it. Even people new to this field could then get at least a picture, instead of a vague discussion going nowhere...

Sorry for my negative comment on the host, but I've been working with
television/talkshow/conference hosts on a daily base for years, and never met one
who finished off by saying she was surprised by the low level of this group of people. I felt mentioning this could be valuable to someone!:)

Thank you for your suggestions, David and Dennis. We will dive into how to improve the meetup soon and will take your comments into account. Your feedback is appreciated. :)

    Hi everyone,

Tomorrow is the next event. We want you to ask if you can check your rsvp. We want to know how many people are coming so we can prepare the evening. Thanks!
