Sketching is an important skill for any Lean UXer but it can often be quite daunting to try and draw a problem in front of an audience or quickly wireframe a design on paper to show a developer or product owner. Just like other areas of design, there are simple "pattern libraries" that anyone can make use of to become a more confident and effective sketcher. This meetup will focus on the "how" rather than the "why" of sketching, looking at a variety of techniques that can be used in different contexts. Whether you are articulating an idea, architecting a solution or designing an interface, there are shapes you can throw at the wall to keep things lean.
The format for this meetup will most likely be show and tell, with a demonstration and explanation of a technique followed by hand-on practice. There will be handouts for some of the techniques but we would also like to extend an open invitation to anyone who would like to showcase their own techniques to others in a 5-10 minute practical presentation at the whiteboard.
