Lean Government, Education, and Enterprise

Tons of us are working to improve enterprise businesses, education, or government -- industries that typically are slower to change.

So RSVP now to hear from...

6:50 PM -- Arianne Gallagher, Program Advisor to the U.S. Chief Technology Officer Todd Park, at the Office of Science and Technology Policy, part of the Executive Office of the President. She is one of the primary coordinators of the Presidential Innovation Fellows Program (www.whitehouse.gov/innovationfellows) and will talk about how the program and the government uses Lean principles to save lives, save taxpayer money, and create job growth for Americans.

7:10 PM -- Gwynne Kostin, Director of the Innovation Services Center at GSA (formerly director of mobile at GSA), will talk about how they're learning and iterating at unprecedented speeds.

7:30 PM -- Zahra Safavian of Starfish will use an educational case study to talk about how they're designing, developing, launching, and iterating in lean ways.

7:50 PM -- Barg Upender will discuss his experience at the GSA in launching Minimum Viable Products, using a customer-driven feature backlog, and managing short deployments of one week or less.

8:05 PM -- Katie Timlin, director of client success at EmployInsight, will describe how Kate Spade is using lean testing to find out which of its products will sell in specific markets.

8:15 PM -- Ross Karchner and his colleagues will talk about how the CFPB hosts hackathons, does beta testing, and plans for short iterations to minimize risk.

We'll grab drinks at the Hyatt afterward.

Great topics, super bummed to be missing this one. Would love to connect afterwards w/anyone doing/exploring Lean Education - either in the org or more specifically, in K-12.

I won't be in town for this, but would love to attend future events. We're using Lean UX at our enterprise education company in Arlington - you can see slides from my LeanDayUX presentation here: http://t.co/Uy995ccaIf. Hope to see some of you at other meetups!
