Get: to be around like minded individuals, regardless of age or experience, who know that in order to accomplish what they want in life, they have to create it. Give: experience from having started a business at the age of 21 and having managed it for 29 years; for having to pivot mid life after its sale (at a good time) and create a new me. Once you've had your own business, it's really really hard to "go back"
See above. When you own a small business, you wear every hat. Especially the ones no one else wants to! :)
You can start a business at any age. My first was at 21. My second, in a totally different field, was at 51. If you do the math, you can see one 30 year cycle in there. I'm on my third. Working on a business plan for an angel investor.
