Salsa 1 (Beginner)








EVERY SATURDAY 1:00-2:00PM  (Starting Sept 1, 2012)

1:00-2:00 Beginner Salsa Class


$40/4-Class-Card (Expiration: 1 month)

$12/Class for SAG-AFTRA, Equity, and other notable professional entertainer union members - Must present member ID at the door


In this class, you will learn basic foundational salsa steps. No experience or partner is necessary. The first half of the class will remain consistent each class, going through the Basic Step and introducing basic leading/following skills and musicality. The second half of the class will vary each week, giving the Beginner student a chance to learn a variety of moves. Get ready to have a lot of fun!

No experience or partner required. The class are targeted Beginners, and lead by professional dancer and instructor Marisa Hamamoto. 

The goal of Learn Salsa Dancing in Studio City is to create a warm positive community of local people, while building a strong foundation in salsa dancing. We will always be open to feedback, so we can maximize the experience of the members, so let us know your thoughts. 

<<Program Concepts>> 
Proper Technique, Understanding of Musicality, Repetition, Syllabus, Individual Attention within a Group Class Environment, Progression, and Community-Building will be emphasized each Session. 

<<What to Bring>> 
Wear comfortable clothing - for those who sweat a lot, bringing an extra shirt is recommended 
Dance Shoes. For those who do not have dance shoes, dress shoes with a slippery sole (non-rubber) are recommended 

NOTE: For those who do not have dance shoes, please bring a pair of shoes with a smooth sole (non-rubber)
