Android Tour plus Hands-on Session

  • This location is shown only to members

2-hour Android Hands-on Learning Session where you can get a tour of the Android platform, ask questions and hack on Android projects.

So you want to be an Android developer...

If you are interested in meeting other people learning to build Android applications, building a project or you just want a quick tour of what it takes to be an Android app developer, come check out this session. There are two sections for this meetup.

For those totally new to Android development, we will be providing a high-level tour of Android development concepts with a live demo and answer any questions you may have along the way.

For those of you that have been here before, we will discuss the process of building typical Android apps and provide a practical introduction to key topics through a collaborative development session.

For those of you already familiar with high level Android concepts, we will also have a separate corner where you can work on your own Android tutorials or projects and ask any questions you might have.

This was a great meetup that showed how easy it was to build Android apps. Seeing how well Android ties into my current Java knowledge, I am looking forward to learning more with the lessons available online.

    Hey All,

I'll be driving over to this meetup. Any tips on the parking situation in the area of the meetup location?

    Thanks in advance.

There's a Giants game at AT&T park that night, so you'll have a lot of competition parking in the immediate area. First, there'll be demand pricing for the on-street parking: http://sfpark.org/how... Next, you can search Google Maps for nearby parking garages with the string "parking garage loc:404 Bryant St., San Francisco, CA, 94107, us" The only good thing is that this meetup starts at 6:30pm and the game starts at 7:15pm, so you have a chance. But, if there is any way you can avoid driving into this area, do it.
