This is an introductory workshop for iOS development, which will introduce you to everything needed to start building iOS applications.  If you do not have any programming experience, then this is probably not the best workshop for you.

The workshop will be 6 hours of hands-on development from 10 am to 4 pm with breakfast, lunch and coffee provided.

This workshop requires you to know an object-oriented programming language like C/C#/Java. We will cover Objective-C as part of the workshop.

Workshop format

The most effective way to learn programming is just to dive in. Each topic will be briefly covered in a few minutes of lecture and accompanied by several live exercises.  Through the course of the day, we will build several applications.

I'm also curious if this is still open--the meetup page says "2 spots open!" still. Thanks!

Can I get by with MacOS[masked] SnowLeopard and my Xcode v3.2.6 (which is the latest Xcode version I can install under 10.6) ?

Yikes, maybe barely. If you want to do iOS development in the future, it's pretty crucial that you're on XCode 5. It's going to be hard or impossible to use Storyboard on XCode 3.
