"Jesus the Lord is the marvelous symbol of the gnostic light, as it reveals itself in the new soul. That light can also manifest itself in us and that light is the Way and the Truth, that light breaks Life open for us. There is no other method. In that light lies the complete truth and whoever sees it and experiences the truth is bound to live by it."
"The Seal of Renewal" by Catharose de Petri
We wanted to let everyone know that we don’t normally answer questions through this MeetUp venue, but we would be happy to answer individual questions if you direct them to:
The International School of the Golden Rosycross, began in Haarlem, the Netherlands. In 1924, when the brothers Z W Leene and J Leene joined the Dutch division of The Rosicrucian Fellowship, a society founded in 1909 by Max Heindel in Oceanside, California. In 1935, they found it necessary to form an independent philosophical group. Z W Leene passed away in 1938, but J Leene and H Stok-Huizer continued the work. They wrote a number of books published under their pen-names, Jan van Rijckenborgh and Catharose de Petri.
In 1945 the society adopted the name Lectorium Rosicrucianum and emerged as a 'Gnostic Spiritual School'. Now the School has pupils in more than 33 countries worldwide – all the European countries and Russia, as well North and South America, Australia/New Zealand, and Africa. In North America, we have conference centers in Bakersfield, California and Chatham, New York as well as centers in Canada.
The Lectorium Rosicrucianum, or International School of the Golden Rosycross, aims to help seekers find and forge a living connection with a “golden thread” leading to Truth, which is woven of love, wisdom, knowledge (gnosis) and action.
This golden thread is a process, a “Path” that can be walked, a Path that has existed always, and has been shown by most religions in their original form. No Master or Initiate can give the Truth to another. It can only be approached by our own efforts, through an inner process of transformation called 'soul-rebirth', or 'transfiguration'.
The Lectorium Rosicrucianum is a modern organization in the sense that its message is adapted to the strongly individualized consciousness of twenty-first century humanity. However, it has deep roots in the past, for it is part of the long and ancient tradition of Mystery Schools, and is a development of earlier impulses of spiritual awakening such as those of the Egyptian schools, Gnostics, Albigenses, Cathars and classical Rosicrucians of the 17th century.
About 160 centers exist in cities around the world. Around 12,000 pupils are active worldwide. In addition, the Lectorium Rosicrucianum has around 3,000 members who are making use of opportunities to find out more about our School.
