Shopping and eating at Leeds Kirkgate market.

One of the best monuments of Leeds. The Kirkgate market is an interesting place to go. There are a lot of stalls selling foods from everywhere. You can try chinese, moroccan, turquish and even thai food in the small restaurants inside.

And you can do the shopping.

To go to the market is easy, there is a bus station beside and bus stops near.

I am working so wont be able to attend, but I thought I would tell you the best Italian cakes in Leeds is in the market!! Trust me I love a good cake with a coffee it has to be rich and sweet. To find this shop go from the entrance highlighted by Flor on the picture and turn left and about 10 metres on the right. Sorry I don't know the name. They also do Italian food and coffee, enjoy your day :))

I went to an event in Leeds Market last year arranged by the Playhouse .We walked round the market in the dark at night, very spooky Lily would have liked it.We heard all about it history, all about the characters who worked there and the future re organisation which threatens the existence of the small traders.
I am looking forward to Flor's recommendations for cheese

Then you can tell us some stories. Alice said to me that the Chinese rotisserie is very good.

Not only mango and ginger but also cheese with Baileys - strange idea but apparently very nice! Flor, I'm not able to come on Saturday but can you tell me where in the market you got the cheeses? I want to go and see what they have
