Brighouse - 1940s Day

Let's step back in time to the 1940s and spend a relaxing day in Brighouse for this Festival. The whole town centre will become the venue for a host of 1940’s events and displays from Spitfires to vintage vehicles, from home cooking to 1940’s dress and make up. (You don't need to dress in 1940s clothes!)

I have never been so no idea what it will be like but it's a different way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We will catch the 10.25am train from Leeds to Brighouse (45min journey and approx £6 return). You can leave at any time as there should be plenty of trains back to Leeds. Meet outside Leeds Visitors Centre - inside the Railway station and opposite McDonalds - 10am (Thanks to Shetha for this idea!) :-)

I live in Brighouse but I'm away this weekend hence cannot join you. Think you'll enjoy the event as the shops all put on a show and get dressed up in that era. If you fancy somewhere nice for refreshments I can recommend Jeremy's @ the boathouse which is next to Sainsburys. Cheers

Sylv - Big thanks for your recommendation! The town was really busy and we would have been really stuck for somewhere to eat if you hadn't recommended Jeremys, it's a nice place. Thanks x :-)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
