Wave Pictures @ the Brudenell

The Wave Pictures are a quirky sounding english indie band. Their twisting lyrical tales and style has echoes of the Violent Femmes.

Enjoyed the support (guess I'm the odd one out, I liked the 2nd band) and what I heard of Wave Pictures (had to go after 3 songs). Nice introduction to music in Leeds and lovely to meet you all!

Contrary to everyone else, I didn't enjoy the first band at all. Maybe I missed something? But The Wave Pictures were great. I particularly liked the encore and the ones where the drummer sang.

Really enjoyed the Wave Pictures and the first band Piskie Sits (crap name) we're really good.

I managed to drift off in my own little world, so completely, that I was almost last out of the gig. Sorry if I missed saying goodbye to some. Wave Pictures were quirky, but think the best bit was the last number from the first band.

Violent Femmes at The International in Manchester in the mid-80s was a fab night; knees are now more creaky but looking forward to this and meeting everyone.
