  • HARLEIGHBLU (Tru Thoughts)
The UK's new soul vocal sensation hits Leeds for the first time for the official debut album launch party!
    Pieces Of A Man
    support from Manchester's up-and-coming neo-soul boys
    Soul Rebels DJs

Harleighblu is Tru Thoughts Records' new signing and rising soul star who is getting lots of love at the moment from all the right places including Mista Jam (Radio 1Xtra), almost weekly plays on the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on BBC Six Music and coverage on Radio Two via the Jo Wiley Show. Craig Charles personally requested her full live band for his Funk & Soul Fantasy Weekender over August Bank Holiday 2013 in Bristol.

It is live where 21 year old Harleighblu shines, mesmerising audiences with her beautiful voice and a charisma that keeps the crowd in the palm of her hand all night long. With two singles in the bag already ("Play Me" and "Enough Now"), her debut album is out on 14th October entitled "Forget Me Not". She drops into The Wardrobe Leeds with her 6 piece live band as part of a major UK album promotional tour taking in over a dozen dates and cities. Watch out when this one takes off in the music press and the wider media and come down and see what all the fuss is won't be disappointed!

Harleighblu - forget Me Not - Tru Thoughts label Though she's only recently entered her 20s there's an unshakable confidence that belies the tender years of Tru Thoughts' newest signing. It's a trait she shares with peers Liam Bailey, Natalie Duncan and Jake Bugg, all of whom grew up in Nottingham and honed their talents on the same homegrown circuit.  Whilst their styles share few points of convergence, its the self-affirmed swagger synonymous with the East Midlands city that binds them, not least the inherently soulful Harleighblu who dazzles on Forget Me Not.
