I expect most events will be in Leeds but i have no problems with them being anywhere in the country. It's up to you where we go.
As far as live music goes, i think the best site for keeping track of upcoming concerts is Songkick http://www.songkick.com - enter as many artists/bands/musicians as you like and Songkick will tell you when they're next playing. It should even email you to let you know.
