Please be aware this is a technically & physically demanding ride which can be very muddy when wet!
9.45am for 10am start at Stainburn Forest
Keith & Mark
Stainburn, Norwood Edge, Yorkshire Forest District
We start by completing the Stainburn Forest red run down the hill from the car park - only about 1km in length but packed with curves, it’s over open ground and mostly quite smooth in surface but it also contains frequent rocks and roots to hop over, surprisingly technical for a red route!
Next we head across the Washburn valley and go through the Swinsty moor plantation forest. Then off to complete a circuit of the cycle trail within the back allotment forestry (next to Fewsten reservoir), this includes sections of blue, green and red trails.
We then return across the Dam between Swinsty & Fewsten reservoirs to Stainburn where we can repeat the red route before returning to the carpark.
