A couple of years myself and members of the Leeds Brill Building staged our own mini music festival in the wilds of Bramley - we called it Brillstock, and what an amazing event it turned out to be! People camped over night, we had some incredible cutting edge comedy from Johnny Solistice and a line-up of our own locally grown talent. We supported somebody to cycle across Egypt to raise hundreds of pounds for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre. So, maybe this is the time to start thinking about Brillstock 2...

I'd be up for that. Can we agree what charity to support? I favour a cancer charity, Age concern or something linked to Alzheimers because these are issues I feel matter but maybe others have charities close to their hearts as well that they'd like to mention? Whichever we choose, I think it was a lovely positive thing to do and would be great to do it again. x

Hi. Glad you all enjoyed it. Unfortunately I spent ages going round in circles in the complicated traffic system of central Leeds. This is due to the fact that I have only lived here for 3 months and rarely drive into the city. I gave up in the end and came home. I DID have a spare tuner too; and a capo, plectrums, spare strings and a smattering of songs memorized. Moreover, I wanted to hear my McIlroy acoustic played in a proper environment and exchange ideas and experiences with others in the group. Next time, I'll take the bus!

if you know woodhouse lane there is free parking behind it at the uni campus. The parking is behind the Fenton but the way in is the uni entrance next to Halo.

    Hi,

I'd like to come along on the 26th November. I play acoustic guitar and sing a bit. Have recently started playing a ukulele which can be quite fun.

Hi everyone. Unfortunately I am going to be away all of that week on business so won't be able to attend. I'm gutted - The last (i.e. first) one was great! Have a good time :-)

Hi, I will do my level best to attend and bring my acoustic guitar with me. I might even play it but don't nobody ask me to sing, please!

This one's a bit different because it will be open to aspiring musicians from Chapeltown as well, people who use this venue already, how many will turn up I don't know, maybe a couple, who knows.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
