The News At Kate: My Professional Opinion

Kate Smurthwaite is a comedian and women's rights activist who has been on the circuit for nearly a decade, demonstrating that feminists not only have a sense of humour, but a smart, incisive and original one. She has toured nationally and internationally, made hundreds of TV and radio appearances including a programme for Radio Four about sexism in comedy and sexist humour, and even "gone viral" in a YouTube clip with over 2.5m hits.

"The News At Kate: My Professional Opinion" is an hour long comedy show about opinions. How we form them, how we challenge them and how we can change them? Based on Kate's own experience of appearing on more than 500 TV and radio debate shows, facing off with MPs, newspaper columnists and editors, religious leaders and the odd stray TV presenter.
