"One of the traditional methods for imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project; most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it." - Ronald Reagan
The Lehigh Valley COALITION for Health Care Reform is a non-partisan grassroots coalition of concerned citizens and health care professionals committed to educating the public about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and other measures and policies impacting America's health.
Our Constitution Day Educational Workshop in September, 2011 was the first in a series of health care reform events hosted by the Lehigh Valley COALITION for Health Care Reform, and it featured some of the nation's biggest names in health care policy and advocacy.
In February, we hosted a debate on whether or not Pennsylvania should set up a PPACA-mandated health insurance exchange. Our April meeting will focus on how ObamaCare affects Medicare and Medicaid, while future sessions will cover how it affects doctors and patients, what real health care reform should be, the constitutionality question, and more.
If there's a health care reform topic you'd like to learn more about, please let us know.
