Hello,

I am heading up this subject focus group and want to recruit active 912ers of similar interests. Please email me, or comment, if you want to become a member of our group.

There has been much 2nd Amendment [and State] activity in the past month, among 912 members . Here are the main active Group 'projects' needing our attention:

* HR45 is probably the most strategic bill of issue but relatively inactive at this time. Ron posted info summarized into 7 issues at http://www.meetup.com... . My reply is posted, [to #1] that all new firearms should be registered [at no cost to buyer] in State of purchase, after checking that identified person is not a felon. Remaining issues are unconstitutional at best, in my opinion. Add related replies and let me know if you want to head up developing the group position.

On that point: Glenn Beck did us disservice on Friday night 5/15 with his 'PA Gun Shop' story. No one pointed out that PA does background checks [on those people] before issuing any firearm. I was surprised the MT guys [who were pretty savvy], or someone, did not make the point that many States enforce gun checks.

* Assault Rifle Ban is probably the most tactical [and controversial] concern. You know, if they 'get a foot in the door'!

* Mac McBride wrote congress on SB842 and got ...BS... response. Basically, the Castle Doctrine is back in the House Judiciary Committee [how did that happen?]. Here [ http://www.legis.stat...] is a link to the Sponsor Senator's site. Select 'Bill#' and enter SB842 [upper box] if you want to read the bill.

* "Women in Training" is an active program supported by "Friends of NRA" funding. We find out more at the May 28th Fogelsville gathering, my wife 'offered' to coordinate local activity. In general, Training and Shooting Programs were among popular suggestions at the May 1st group meeting.

For those interested, what should be added to this list? If you have a good topic, take up the lead. We need project managers. Should we meet regularly in a casual environment ? I'll schedule a formal meet up soon.

Please contact me with any suggestions for this 2nd Amendment Focus Group.

Freedom,

Bob Gotthardt

Welcome to those who [emailed] joined this working group. New topics include: Gun rights [Freedom] discussion with Rep. Gary Day; and, Obama's full support of CIFTA [I found this link ]. Just amazing what is being done with media coverup! Some will be gathering May 28th at "Friends of NRA" [Fogelsville].

Group status minutes will be emailed to members prior to our group meeting on June 5th. Freedom!

"Sotomayor on the Supreme Court: A Gun-grabber’s Dream Come True" check it out http://www.infowars.c...

She is a racist and sexist, with no respect for 2nd Amendment [i.e. not meant for individuals, only for the military] or any States Rights. If the Republicans do not 'roast' and expose her to the American people [as many 'expert conservatives' recommend], no one will be able to convince me to remain a Republican!

This is a major fight and we need someone to lead the cause. Any ideas or volunteers?

I spoke 'Gun Rights' with Rep. Gary Day, at the "Friends of NRA" Banquet in Fogelsville on May 28. He is a supporter!

Tuesday, I emailed our Rep. Sam Rohrer [copying "everyone" involved] to initiate multi-State involvement of his 10th Amendment motion and explaining power behind the national 912 Project people, including Glenn Beck. Rep. Day has acknowledged copy. We await reply from Rep. Rohrer. Followup will be posted here.

Weeks go by, no response from Rohrer or Metcalfe [with his Capitol sit-in] on this. Only Rep. Gary Day even acknowledges us.

We don't need ANY REPUBLICANs elected, we need real representation. Time for action. Any suggestions welcome!
