Walking and hiking are two of the simplist activities you can do outdoors year round. They don't require a lot of special expensive gear and they are beneficial to your health and mind. It is a wonderful way to see many different things within the city as well as on the forest trail.

The purpose of the group is to pull outdoor enthusiasts together to share the benefits of walking for the intent of getting exercise. Not only can members gain physical benefits, have an opportunity to socialize with some new faces, relieve some stress and also, guess what?........IT'S FUN !!!   The group may on occassion offer an outing not specific to walking, but to attend a show, event, special attraction, or point of interest. On occassion an event may be scheduled for the sole intentions of just socializing over a meal at a restaurant.

Potential members should be those interested in enjoying the outdoors, meeting new faces, and having a good time while getting some exercise. Walks and hikes will be at a moderate or above pace, so those participating should expect such and be capable of keeping up with the group. Those with considerable health issues or health problems aggravated by the act of walking or hiking long distances should not participate. All walks and hikes will have a description of the terrain we will cover and about how much time it will take.  Use proper judgement and know your limitations before deciding to attend a particular outing.

THE MEETUP GROUP ORGANIZER OR EVENT HOST ON ANY GIVEN EVENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND/OR ANY INJUrY TO ANY MEMBER OR HIS/HER GUESTS OR LOSS OF YOUR PERSON PROPERTY DUE TO YOU BEING A MEMBER AND/OR PARTICIPATING WITH THIS GROUP. MEMBERS ARE SOLEY RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING THEIR OWN MEDICAL CONDITION PRIOR TO PARTICIPATING IN AN EVENT WITH THIS GROUP. KNOW YOURSELF AND YOUR LIMITATIONS. The group is intended to be interactive for all members. Ideas for outings and places to walk and hike are endless in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. If you have an idea and would like to organize it and be an event host,.....by all means you can. Just E-mail me and we'll iron out the details and set it upon the web site.

There is a cost of running the group and to maintain this website, so a donation of $2 would be appreciated and collected at the outing from members participating. It's a very fair and minimal fee so that we can keep the group functioning and enjoy further outings.
