Ten Pin Bowling

I have booked for the people who have already paid, and provisionally booked for 10 more. If you pay me via paypal by Wednesday 20th, I will be able to get you a definite place; otherwise it will depend on availability as the time nears. The bowling starts at 7.20pm, so it's a good idea to get there 10 minutes earlier to put on the clown shoes.

It doesn't matter whether you need the barriers up or you're a hotshot bowler - 10-pin bowling is always a good laugh. A few of our members have said they get very competitive, which should make for an entertaining evening.

If this succeeds, and I don't end up out of pocket, we can maybe do it again in a few weeks.

Looking forward to it!

Brilliant! Congratulations, Phil on winning the Easter egg prize with a score of 199. Marina was a close runner up with 192 ... but she did have the bumpers up!

Hope you all have a good time and sorry I can no longer make it. See you all soon when hopefully I finally get rid of this cold!

I have checked the weather forecasts, and assume the lorry blockage around the M1 will be cleared by then so I think we should go for it and keep the event on. If you turn up, great - if not I shall try to refund all or most of the money. If tonight's a success, we could go again on the 14th anyway. Hope this satisfies everybody, whatever your take on snow. If you could adjust your status to confirm whether you're coming or not, then we know whether to wait for you. See you soon!

Hi all, not read my emails, but seen this obviously. Hope to see you all soon x

Does anyone have mobile No's for those who haven't read their emails today and who are assuming that it's still on and are going to turn up this evening?

I was over at the bowling last night for a drink and the roads around there were fine BUT if that's what everyone else wants to do, then yes I suppose Sunday 14th might be ok. TBH I'm fed up with the snow - a little bit of snow falls in the UK and the country grinds to a halt!

out of 5 replies so far, 3 want me to cancel. Waiting to hear from 4 others before deciding. If I postpone, I suggest Sunday 14th April; again let me know.

Hi Ruth, have just replied to your email. If people won't lose out money wise I think would be best to postpone until the weather improves a bit. I live next to the Meridian and we have had fair bit more snow overnight and it's still snowing now.

    March 24, 2013

Aimee's now unable to attend. How are you all feeling about the snow? The weather forecast had not been so bad for today but it seems to be continuing to come down. There's no problem with refunds or postponing it to another time so long as I let the bowling alley know. I think I will make a decision at 1pm based on what you tell me here and the way the weather is looking. I don't want to trek over there and no-one turn up. Let me know your thoughts....

My car is no good in the snow so I've been thinking I would either have to get a taxi or a lift with someone who's going...any offers? :)

      March 24, 2013

  • Carys B.

I would love to go but I will need a lift!

    March 9, 2013

I have investigated setting up card payments for an event like this so that I don't pay the bowling alley and then have people not turn up. The cost would be £6.50 for one game or £12 for 2 games - we would need to decide which we wanted as a group. d I would then aim to get all those wanting to come to pay by card/paypal via the site or pay me in cash on Friday 15th.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
