Our annual Lavender Harvest Celebration will take place this year on Sunday, June 15. It should be a large gathering again this year after having more each year, and many eager to return. We will have live music, extra-clean sanitation facilities, and instruction on "Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Growing, Harvesting, and Using Lavender". We ask this year that you bring your own lunch. Water, bottled drinks, and packaged snacks will be available as part of the Registration Fee, and as always, a free bundle of lavender for everyone who comes out to help us with the harvest is included. There will be plenty of parking space and restrooms will be provided around the site. Please bring your own garden shears or scissors to help cut the lavender! The harvest begins at 9:00 am. By popular demand, we suggest this year that you bring your own picnic lunch, and whatever you would like to have to make yourself comfortable around the site. We have some new areas opened up, including shaded picnic tables.
Please be sure to email us at Norma Burns, [masked] to receive your invitation which will admit you to the harvest. You will be asked to select the day you wish to attend and RSVP with the number of guests you will have in your group when you pre-register and pre-pay.
You are invited to linger and enjoy the farm and music after the harvest if you wish. Feel free to fish for Bass, Catfish, and Blue Gill in our pond during the harvest. The annual June Lavender Harvest marks the beginning of each New Year’s Garden Workshops at the farm. Groups are invited by appointment to enjoy a variety of educational opportunities which may be combined or modified according to individual requirements: Click to go to Lavender Gallery
Reserve your own day, or join others to learn about lavender -- how it grows, and its uses. Take part in harvesting lavender with clippers or electrical shears, bundle your harvest, and hang it for drying. Each worker may take home a bundle of fresh lavender if they wish to have one for their own use
