Magazine Donations

  • Dec 31, 2013 · 12:00 PM

Any interest in donating new and recycled magazines as reading materials to at-risk children and families in an effort to encourage and increase literacy, or for pure entertainment?

Metropolitan Ministries says they would gladly accept magazines for their resident families. Feel free to drop them off at the following address:

Metropolitan Ministries
Tampa, Florida

2101 North Florida Avenue
Tampa, FL 33602

Monday - Saturday
8am and 4:30pm

I often learn about free magazine subscriptions. I get these subscriptions and donate the magazines. I will post those below as I learn about them so others can too. These are limited time offers, so act fast!

I donated a large box of magazines to Metropolitan Ministries. I think the residents will enjoy them!

I just brought a lot of magazines, but it looks like they are full of magazines until next year. I called in advance and only obtained answer machines. They accepted them, but they say they will ask before receive more because they do not have space at this moment

Do we just drop off our magazines anytime during their open hours? I suppose we just let them know it's from lend a hand so they know

I always feel so guilty when I put perfectly good, lightly used magazines into the recycling bin. So great to know this would be of value to the guests @ Metropolitan Ministries. Also, I love the idea of getting a subscription and having it sent to them. Will do this!

Ok team, I asked Metropolitan Ministries if they would like magazines for their residents and they said they would be happy to receive them! I have added their address to this event. Feel free to take them by anytime they're open! They have families living there, so any magazines that are educational or entertaining would be great! I know I have lots to take. Thanks for opening your heart to Lend a Hand! ~KellyM~
