Each year, more than 3,500 volunteers join Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa! to paint the homes of over 100 low income elderly citizens. Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa wouldn't be possible without the selfless commitment made by volunteers.
How we will LEND A HAND
Join us to Paint Your Heart Out! We will paint the outside of a deserving person's house and potentially do minor repairs. Please be prepared to stay outside all day. We will be supplementing the Penn State Chapter of Greater Tampa. Water will be provided. You will also be given a PYHOT t-shirt, which will get you into the after-party later. Please bring your own breakfast & lunch. They may order pizza for lunch.
The after-party is on a different date this year, you will be provided more information later.
8am until finished painting (sometime in the late afternoon). Please plan to stay the entire time
What to bring:
- Please wear casual, comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes that may get paint on them
- Closed-toed shoes
- Your lunch and snacks to get through a long day of work
- Sunscreen, a hat, insect repellant
- A warm smile!

Other Important Information:
If you are bringing a guest, please provide his/her name along with your RSVP. This is not a child-friendly event (per the organization). All volunteer painters must be at least 18 years old.

Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa is a city-wide program that enables citizens, businesses, clubs, and organizations to lend a helping hand to low-income, elderly citizens in our community.
