Getting there from Marin:
• From 101, exit onto CA-37 East towards Napa/Vallejo, drive 7.6 miles
• Left onto CA-121 North / Arnold Drive, drive 6.5 miles
• Slight right to stay on CA-121 towards Sonoma/Napa, drive 9.4 miles
• Left onto CA-121 /CA-29 North towards Napa/Calistoga, drive 1.4 miles
• Exit onto CA-121N / Imola Ave, drive 3.1 miles
• Entrance will be on the right. We will meet in the parking lot

Getting there from East Bay:
• From I-80 in Solano County, exit 33 onto CA 37, drive west 2.1 miles
• Right (north) on CA 29/Sonoma Blvd towards Napa, drive 7.3 miles
• Slight right at the junction with CA 221 towards downtown Napa and Lake Berryessa, drive 3 miles
• Right onto Imola Avenue, drive east 2.3 miles
• Entrance will be on the right. We will meet in the parking lot

sorry for the last minute cancellation. My back has been bothering me the last few days and I was hoping that it would be better this morning but it is not. Have a great hike!

Hello, Skyline hikers. I look forward to hiking with you tomorrow. I would like to strongly suggest you wear hiking grade rubber soles and strong support as we will be hiking on some rocky areas and a couple of rock face slides (only about 3-4 feet long but not much fun if your soles don't grip the rock).

I'm excited to introduce you to Skyline Wilderness. This time of year it is dry and dusty but still has many pretty vistas of vineyards. As with most NoCal trails, the spring is my favorite time to hike with babbling streams, wild flowers and green grassy hills but the early fall has its own special appeal.

    See you tomorrow. Lynne

Lynne or Deborah, can you make a guess as to how many hours we'll be hiking? Thanks!

      September 27, 2013

    • Lynne P.

It will take us between 3-4 hours depending on how long we break for lunch. There are a few cut offs if you need to shorten the hike but the whole thing should take us 3+ hours.

Question...why is there a limit? I hike there often and most likely will be there that day anyway. Would sure like to join everyone. I live in Napa..thanks

There is a limit both to protect the environment and because it's hard to keep track of too many people. However, with only two on the waiting list, I suggest that you plan to come. There are always late cancelations.
