March LAGF Meetup

Let's meet up again at the Royal Festival Hall, in/around the ballroom area as the space works well and well, it's free!

There are generally tables and chairs, that we can nab if we get there early enough.

I will try to print off a decent 'meet up' sign so you know its us (but it's usually fairly obvious!)

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink into the venue. There is a bar there too for those who fancy a little tipple! Plus there's plenty of space for kids to run around and toilets close too.

Last meet I brought in some paper and crayons, so the little ones are welcome to join in with that too.

Any issues on the day /can't find us - I will post my mobile number nearer the time.

Hope to see you there :)

Who else wasn't cool with being infiltrated by the straight woman who wanted to make a film about 'alternative families' which she didn't reveal to us for an hour? Is she on the group and if so could she be kicked off please? Sam and I had a fantastic time otherwise, great meetup and great group of people!

    March 24

    • sarah

Absolutely. I was having a lovely time but unfortunately I just felt the need to leave once I found that out. My family isn't alternative or modern; simply a family. she could have posted on the meetup wall for people to come forward, given people an informed choice not deceiving people. Would be interesting to know what others thought..

    • Taylor EMERY

Hey guys, As soon as I saw what she was going I politely told her this was not the place and not what our group was about and to get her jacket and have a good afternoon. Which she did. I'm sorry about that and if something every like this happens again, please let me know and I'll handle it. I'm here for that kind of thing. I'm sorry you felt you had to leave - I wish I had known earlier. Please come back!!

    Hi all,

I've changed the date for the March meetup as the 10th is Mother's day and the following weekend is St Patrick's day and there is a parade in town starting at 12 and festivities in Trafalgar Square, so it might be a bit of an issue getting into/around town. Will try to return to a more regular monthly schedule for April onwards :)

    January 14

    • Charles Sichel-Outcalt

Hello. The new date works better for us, so thanks for changing it! And starting earlier is fine for us, too - whatever works for everyone else!

      1 · January 14

  • Lawrence Springall

Hi Elle - is there any chance we could start these earlier? Even an hour earlier would be good for us. Our boys normally sleep in the afternoons. L

    January 13

    • Elle

Hi Lawrence, sure - can try and give it a go definitely. Are you able to make the Feb one and I can change that? It *might* be a bit tricky for us to get there that early, but can certainly start it and see who can get there then, I am sure others will feel similarly. :)

      January 13

    • Lawrence Springall

Hi Elle - Thanks for this, we can do the 10 Feb and 24 March at 11:00, if a slightly earlier start also suits others! L x
