Sorry to have to change the date from Saturday to Sunday, but I just found out the museum is closed on Saturday to host a member's event. However, it looks like Sunday is even better! Check this out, and I hope you can all still make it!
FRIDAMANIA Women’s Day Festival!
Sunday, March 16, 2014
Museum event hours: 11:00 – 5:00pm
Here's the word from the museum's page:
"On Sunday, March 16 celebrate Frida and Women’s History Month at our Fridamania Festival! Enjoy art by local women artists and celebrate the contributions of women to art, movement and music! You will also have the opportunity to participate in a Frida-look-a-like contest and join curators and scholars in a discussion of the exhibition Frida Kahlo, Her Photos. Visit the MOLAA website for more information on how you can participate and take part in the fun."
Maybe you've seen the banners going up around the city today, or maybe you got a promotional poster in the mail. Maybe you've always been intrigued by her and wanted to know more. Here's your chance.
Please take a look at the website below for exhibition description and follow links for questions about the museum.
General admission is usually $9, but it is FREE on Sunday!
We can sit down for refreshments or a late lunch/early dinner afterwards. Location TBD.
End time is an estimate; we can play it by ear.
