I currently own two wonderful one year old siberian huskies, Mieshka and Koda, who are biological brothers. Meishka is black and white with two blue eyes, while Koda is all white with one blue eye and one brown eye with a blue spot on it, both VERY beautiful!
I got both of my Siberian Huskies from my Great Aunt, Jane, who breeds huskies in Colorado. I got Meishka when he was three months old as an early Christmas present, and then about ten months later my Great Aunt told me she got Meishka's brother, Koda, back from the people who had adopted it because she found out that they had been neglecting Koda, keeping him tied up in inhumane conditions and forgetting to feed and water him. So, now I own not one, but TWO amazing dogs! Both are fully house-trained & very well mannered, and of course since they are very active dogs they love going outside! Never did I think that I would get two siberian huskies in such a short time period...I thought it would be years before I would ever get another husky..considering I am 16 years old and I NEVER would have thought my mom would let me have two dogs at one time..but now looking back at least year when we adopted Meishka or even a few months ago when we got Koda, we wouldn't have it any other way.
Meishka is definitely the dominant dog, whereas Koda just goes along with it and never really seems to mind. Meishka, considering he was the only dog we had for a while until we adopted his biological brother Koda, was/is still used to being spoiled and getting to do everything first. Whenever we feed them/go on walks/go outside/etc., he always thinks he has to go first, even if he has to push Koda out of the way. Even though sometimes he can be quite the little bully to his brother, he is always a sweetheart to me and LOVES to snuggle and give kisses, and that's what I love about him. Koda is the type of dog who just goes with the flow and never really complains about anything, even when Meishka shoves him out of the way to get first. No matter what, Koda is always a sweetie. He never really licks, but his tail is always wagging, just as is Meishka's. Both dogs are very happy, easy to please, and very loving. They love EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, which is great..most of the time!
I know each one of these personality traits personally, for Meishka and Koda both have a little bit of each one of these traits!
Both Meishka and Koda love to go to training classes because they get to socialize with other dogs, and also because they do well with obeying commands and learning new things. They've never tried another specialty classes, but by judging the way they love to be active, I'm sure they'd do great and love doing agility, fly-ball, or rally-O if they ever got the chance to do it!
Hi my name is HaleyKate and I LOVE dogs, especially Siberian Huskies! I have always dreamed of one day owning a husky and finally my dreams have come true!
