Ladies' Night Out grew out of a need for women to teach other women how to protect themselves. I was the "little brother" my brother never had. Hence, I was involved in Karate, Archery and guns. As a single woman, living in Tucson, Arizona; Las Vegas ,Nevada; Laramie, Wyoming and now Married and living in  ALbuquerque, New Mexico, I understand the challenges women face when it comes to being physically safe.  As a college professor who has researched and published on gender differences in communication, I understand that women and men are different, we act, behave and communicate differently. Many students have expressed a desire to learn how to shoot a gun from another woman, not from her boyfriend or husband. With the rise in domestic violence and the fact that women are targeted more ofen than men for purse snatchings and muggings, I decided to start teaching personal protection.

The purpose of this group is to get women together who are like minded about their own personal protection. I am an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, soon to be certified as a Conceal Carry Instructor in New Mexico, and an NRA Certified Refuse To Be A Victim (RTBAV) Instructor and the only NRA Training Counselor in NM for RTBAV.

If you are interested in staying safe, with and without a gun and getting together with other women who are like minded, then this group is for you! You don't need to own a firearm you just need to be willing to protect yourself and your family from the criminals out there who would violate you and your family.
