Leatherlips Yacht Club

Leatherlips Yacht Club is an 85 year old sailing club located across the water from the Columbus Zoo. Leatherlips offers sailing classes for youth and adults. Leatherlips also offers great kayaking water and member storage for sail boats, kayaks and canoes. Leatherlips is community service oriented, holding fundraisers and community service events promoting water sports, family togetherness, pot lucks, neighborhood get togethers, and celebrations. Leatherlips Learn to sail program is a not for profit 501C3 that teaches both youth and adults to sail.  Sailing classes are run during the summer starting in June. Leatherlips Yacht Club helps raise money for charity. Leatherlips members have raised thousands of dollars for the research and cures for leukemia, cancer, and heart disease as well as feeding the needy.
