This is a group for people interested in hiking as a cohesive group, but who aren't in a super rush to get up (or down) the mountain. However, this does not mean we are slow or that we won't push to get up the hill. If you'd like to join me on my walk, great, if my speed isn't for you, there are lots of other meet-up groups to check out. Hikes will be at least four miles but no more than six or seven miles and the elevation gain will be under 1200 feet (unless the distance/elevation is clearly noted in the description). We will go at an even pace, but will stop as the need arises to catch our breath and take a look around. Photographers are welcome but you need to keep up with the group. While I am comfortable with many of our local trails/parks I would like to learn more and look forward to exploring with like-minded individuals with an adventurous spirit.

We would love to have you join us on our hikes, but if you are not going to make it, please change your RSVP as soon as possible so some else is notified in time to make the hike. Anyone with three no-shows will be removed from the group.

P.S. A cohesive group means not speeding ahead and getting detached from the group, or lagging behind and causing the group to stand around waiting for you to catch up. These actions may get you removed from the group.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
