Queeny Park ~ Fast Paced Walk

Event Description:  Fast paced walk around Queeny Park (twice around for a total of 8 - 9 miles).

Where:  Queeny Park Hawk Ridge Trail

Length:  8 - 9 miles

Difficulty:  Moderate, due to length and pace.

Trail Surface:  Packed dirt and paved surfaces.

Hiking Time:  Estimating 2.5  hours (giddy up).

Recommended items to bring (this is not a complete list):

• Sturdy tennis shoes or trail running shoe

• Plenty of water (hydration pack is recommended)

• Light snack:  energy bar, fruit, etc...

• Flash light or head lamp

• Jacket/rain gear (weather permitting)

Directions to the park:  From I-64/I-40, drive south 2 miles on Mason Road to Queeny Park.  Trailhead parking is on the western side of Mason Road, next to the dog museum and Queeny Barn.  I drive a silver SUV.  My phone number is[masked]-7457.

In the event of adverse weather this hike, will be cancelled by 11:00 am the day of the event. Always, check the day of the event for last minute updates.
