The 11th Annual Moonlight Bike Ride benefiting The Discovery Center. Please join us on a great evening ride for a good cause. Must register through The Discovery Center website, in person at Discovery Center or if you are unsure of attending, you can register on site the night of the ride. Discount for early registration and a Moonlight Ride t-shirt for the first 200.
This is a leisurely family/kid friendly ride. Safe routes, lots of cyclists and people sitting on porches and at curbs cheering people on as they ride through neighborhoods. Last year there were free pre-ride Root Beer Floats courtesy of Mother's Brewing and there will be free post-ride Village Inn pancakes. There have been a few changes (an earlier start time and assembly point on the west side instead of east parking lot). I will reconsider the TAH member meeting site. On site registration, sign in and picking up your t-shirt and swag bag is 5-6:15 pm.
Due to earlier start time, I will begin my ride from home and meet anyone that wants a longer and later ride at McDaniel Park Southcreek Trailhead at 5:15 pm. We will ride the bike routes to Discovery Center. You may choose 3, 7 or 14 miles. I will do two loops for 14 miles, have a pancake and then accompany all riding from McDaniel Park back to the trailhead. May make a couple of parking garage rooftops accents to enjoy the night view on the way back. Total mileage from McDaniel Park with two loops of Moonlight Ride is approximately 20 miles.
Helmets and front lighting required by Discovery Center. Helmet, front & REAR lighting required by me.
Riders participate at their own risks.
