Read: Orlando

Hi Everyone,

Thank for another great meeting last week! I'm glad that most of you seemed to really enjoy the book!

Several of you suggested that we read Orlando by Virginia Woolf, so that indeed will be our book for May.

Orlando is Virginia Woolf's fantastical biography of a poet who first appears as a sixteen-year-old boy at the court of Elizabeth I, and is left at the novel's end a married woman in the year 1928. Part love letter to Vita Sackville-West, part exploration of the art of biography, Orlando is one of Woolf's most popular and entertaining works

As always, the meeting will be the second Wednesday of each month at Politics and Prose bookstore at 7:30pm. We give 20% discount on Orlando if you buy it here.

For June, I am planning on having us read Nina Here Nor There, by Nick Krieger. It depends on availability. Stay tuned for more information.

I look forward to seeing you all in May!

Susan

I have been wanting to read Nina Here Nor There, so I vote for (or urge the autocrats to choose) that book. Re. large online retailers that will remain nameless--one seems to have new copies, and another says more will be ordered, so does that imply that they can be ordered from the publisher? Does P&P sell electronic versions?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
