Liberal Ladies Monthly Brunch

Tucked into the short side of an L-shaped shopping center at 16th Street and Bethany Home is a restaurant that has been pleasing palates and offering short tutorials in Phoenix history and heritage since 1997: the Phoenix City Grille. The warm, cozy ambience is enhanced by framed, well-lit color and black-and-white photos of Arizona landscapes and Phoenix movers and shakers. Diners enjoy a varied American menu with just enough hints of Southwestern and Southern cuisine to keep it interesting and memorable.

When he opened the restaurant in 1997, owner Sheldon Knapp envisioned a place for a low-key, upscale dining experience with hometown color and pride as a backdrop. Phoenix City Grille has achieved his goal in fine fashion. For a fine dining experience at moderate prices, visit Phoenix City Grille. With its emphasis on good food, a cozy atmosphere, exemplary service, and an interesting take on Phoenix history, you will leave full, happy and more knowledgeable than when you came in.

Someone on Saturday said there was a place to click for something like “suggest a meetup” but I don’t see it.

Go to Home. In the middle under Welcome Liberal Ladies there is a plus sign and Suggest a New Meetup.

Lots of people and good conversation since only one person talked at once, then others could comment. Worked very well I thought

I hope you all had a good breakfast! Just fyi - here is a video we talked about at another Liberal Ladies meeting... Plutocrat Nick Hanauer talks about wealth disparity, minimum wage, pitch forks coming, etc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2gO4DKVpa8

Hi ladies, I am so sorry but I'm not going to be able to make it (we have a bit of car issues this morning) but as always I'm sure PCG will take good care of you.

Morning Ladies - With this big of an expected turnout, I was able to get us the private room (instead of the balcony where we usually are). With the private room, they don't do separate checks, so please bring cash to cover your meal and the tip (with the private room, there is a minimum $50 gratuity, which shouldn't be a problem for the group).

    See you tomorrow!

We knew this was going to happen. And we also now know the truth as to why this happened. It was due to the republican-led legislature cutting funding to higher education and the Board of Regents had to make up the difference somewhere. So, instead of closing schools they had to raise tuition.
