[Serving] Lunch at St. Vincent de Paul

....at the St. Vincent de Paul Henry Unger Memorial Dining Room.

St. Vincent de Paul has five dining rooms throughout the Valley, serving 3,500 nourishing, hot meals daily. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and individuals to serve the poor and homeless in our community.

For those interested and attending, we can meet there, or discuss carpool arrangements.

Really enjoyed this today, terrific experience that I think will be in the future again.

It was an eye opener. Many people didn’t appear homeless or low-income. Learned a lot, glad I went.

Anyone else need the map and Waiver? (although I will have additional copies of the Waiver with me in the morning).

Morning! For those attending (if you haven't already), please e-mail me so I can send you the map and Waiver attachments.

Is it ok if I bring my husband and 8 and 12 yr old children?

I can leave the 8 yr old at home. Just want my sons to stay in touch with the struggles many people have.

Jeez, Caroline, nobody will check his birth certificate. I'd take the 8 year old, too, as long as you think he is mature enough to handle it. What a wonderful experience it will be for both of your boys.

Hi Ladies, I have more complete information now. First off, this event will be from 9:30 to 1 (instead of starting at 10), so those attending should probably be there around 9:15. Caroline: yes, the boys are okay to attend as long as supervised. I will send a more detailed e-mail to attendees with a map and Waiver tonight or tomorrow.
