Do you consider yourself liberal/progressive (as in left-of-center politically)? If not, why do you want to join this group?

I consider myself liberal politically-- some call me a communist but that's not accurate. Maybe some Socialist tendencies but nothing radical . . . just my Nordic roots showing.

Are you a Baby Boomer (born 1946 through 1964, roughly), or nearly a baby boomer, or at least fond of baby boomers?

I am a boomer, well within the parameters.

Favorite places/activities/events you would like to see scheduled?

Dinners, drinks, moderate physical challenges (walks, tours, easy hikes and bike rides), cultural events, concerts (rock n' roll is good)

Are you active with any charitable, civic, or political groups or activities?

I am married and may bring spouse along sometimes when I can pry him away; we have a kid in high school and pets. We are a bit over-educated but not stuffy about it-- just enjoyed being in school so we kept going . . .

Do you care to add something?

Liberal boomer? That's me! Have been two years in St. Louis now- before that, many years in the People's Republic of Cambridge and the Bowl of Granola (aka Boulder, CO). Nice to find a group dedicated to this attitude.

What Gretchen Edison G. is saying about this Meetup Group

Nice, easygoing, smart, interesting set of "boomers". It's not about politics.
