Coffee, Tea, and Conversation

This will be our regular meeting, and if the first few are any indication, we are going to have another lively round of good open discussions and making some new friends.

We begin the group with with a round of introductions where everyone take 3-4 minutes to tell a little about themselves, and to address the topic of the day.  Once we've gone around the group, we shift gears, and open the floor for discussion.  This allows for a lot of good discussion, and everyone is free to participate as little or as much as they'd like.

I look forward to see you!

Also, to help defray the expenses of Meetup, and for the use of the library, we are asking for a nominal donation of $2.00.

We'll continue with the breakfast "potluck" as it worked out really well last week...  thanks to everyone!

I'll be bringing coffee to the library, and please feel free to bring a breakfast item to share, and note what you intend to bring.

Thanks!

The results are in, and the topic of discussion for this Saturday is the following:

What's a fair income, for workers, and executives?

Enjoyed the Syria discussion. Worked on my listening skills. Trying to learn names and faces. Am going to change my name from Koch to Cook so I don't get judged so harshly, lol. Everything was pretty much covered. I still don't see how Obama can follow thru on bombing Syria (strategic bombing with smart bombs that only kill bad people and bad things?) if Congress votes NO. The people are war weary. How does bombing Syria solve their civil war? How is this in America's interest (only in the interest of the military industrial complex). Can WE possibly go in alone? Even without Palau (sarcasm)? Sure the 400 children who were killed by chemical weapons is horrible. How about the 100,000 and counting killed by conventional weapons? It's a civil war! Did we not learn from Vietnam? We can't fix everything.

I agree, Bob, if Obama bombs after a no vote by Congress, I'll go nuts!

Sorry I'm not going but the reason is that I'm tired of hearing about Syria. But I will add my 2 cents. As this situation unfolds it is clearer to me that Pres. Obama is playing a strategic game of chess and I hope it turns out the way I think it will. See you next time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
