Coffee, Tea, and Conversation

This will be our regular meeting, and if history is any indication, we are going to have another lively round of good open discussions and making some new friends.

We begin the group with with a round of introductions where everyone take 3-4 minutes to tell a little about themselves, and to address the topic of the day.  Once we've gone around the group, we shift gears, and open the floor for discussion.  This allows for a lot of good discussion, and everyone is free to participate as little or as much as they'd like.

I look forward to see you!

Also, to help defray the expenses of Meetup, and for the use of the library, we are asking for a nominal donation of $2.00.

We'll continue with the breakfast "potluck" as it worked out really well last week...  thanks to everyone!

Mary will be bringing coffee to the library, and please feel free to bring a breakfast item to share, and note what you intend to bring.

Thanks!

Hopefully we can get back into the routine of coming. We are glad you're still organizing the group.

I could pick you up but I have an appointment at 1 in Arvada so I wouldn't be able to take you home but I could give you a ride to Alameda and then you could catch the #3 which would take you all the way home. Let me know.

Thanks, Mary, but I think I will stay home and get caught up on my Christmas prep. Happy Holidays!

The shortest day of the year doesn't have enough hours for Santa's helper to get his chores done before Christmas. Coffee and conversation next year.... if I'm good.

Hi Robin and Carolyn... Plan on joining us on Saturday morning since there are usually one or two people that can't make it.

I will be out of town visiting Mom so won't be able to attend this time. But mark your calendars for January 18th...we are scheduled for a meet and greet with Andrew Romanoff that day. More details to follow.

I've added a poll for discussion topics for Dec. 21. Go to "More" and click on "Polls" and vote on a topic. If you have an idea for an additional topic, let me know, and I'll add it to the list.

If you click on "Discussions", you will see information posted about the Robert Reich presentation at the Colorado Fiscal Institute event on Jan. 10. This info came from Nancy.

Bonnie, did you see the blurb at the bottom of the page about scholarships? Maybe seniors can be included in that...worth a try.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
