Coffee, Tea, and Conversation

Our Liberal Boomers lively discussion group meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. This will be our regular meeting, but please note, we are changing the location. Perkins is providing us a private room, and we can order coffee, tea, water, or even a breakfast item.

We begin the group with a round of introductions where everyone takes 3-4 minutes to tell a little about themselves and to address the topic of the day. Once we've gone around the group, we shift gears and open the floor for a lot of good conversation, and everyone is free to participate as little or as much as they'd like.

As always, please show up just a little early so we can start on time.

We look forward to seeing you!

Mike... did you get my email about the topic being immigration reform? I also posted it down below since some people say they didn't receive it, and it shows up under Discussions (above). Anyway, go ahead and attend the meeting if you'd like.... it should be a good discussion.

Just wondering if there's enough room for me yet?

Hey Vicki.... yes, go ahead and show up.

I've been virtually following your group from Italy for quite awhile now... envious and so wishing there was something similar near me... as opposed to 5300 some odd miles away lol.

But I do have a son and his family in the Denver area and go visit every 2 yrs... so I'm hoping to one day be able to join the gab fest with people who think like me! All the best & keep fighting the good fight, Ginger

Well why else would I sign into this group lol? I'm American born and raised but chose to retire to Italy for various reasons, parents being Italian so I know the country and I was also smelling the end of the 'free' America that I grew up in.Let's say that indeed these groups exist but in the major cities Milan and Rome and the aren't using Meetup to network.

Hmm... I see that you can't separate into paragraphs in this message center. Ahh well.

Just got our computer re-connected at our new home, had a minor glitch last week and process delayed. Can Steve and I still come?

Oh yes, please do! Even if someone does not drop off at the last minute or is a "no show", there is enough room for you guys.

Not sure if I stated that correctly... just come no matter what.

Just in case some of you did not get my email, the topic for this week is immigration reform, highly relevant and controversial. Should be a great discussion!

Randi, if immigration reform is the topic, would love to know what people think about the current immigration crisis, whether to send them back.
I cannot make it this Saturday. Have another commitment.

What will be the topic on 7/12? I have signed up for a noontime class on GMOs that day, but I might come for a little while. I've missed you guys!

Hi Kim, Do you receive my emails? I know some members do not. I will close out the poll the Wednesday before the meeting. If you go to "More", then "Polls" above, you can see how many have voted and what topic has received the most votes.
