Coffee, Tea, and Conversation

This will be our regular meeting (2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month), and if the past year is any indication, we are going to have another lively round of good open discussions and making some new friends.

We begin the group with a round of introductions where everyone takes 3-4 minutes to tell a little about themselves, and to address the topic of the day.  Once we've gone around the group, we shift gears, and open the floor for discussion.  This allows for a lot of good conversation, and everyone is free to participate as little or as much as they'd like.

Please show up a little early to get a cup of coffee (which Mary makes), so we can start on time.  Bring a breakfast item if you'd like; we supply plates, utensils, and cups.

Also, to help defray the expenses of Meetup, we are asking for a nominal donation of $2.00.  Please be sure and put in the basket upon arrival.

We look forward to seeing you!

Just to follow up on our last topic of conversation, I watched a part of a Senate hearing on the immigration/refugee issues along our border. Among the topics discussed concerned what the Justice Department can do to help Honduras, Guatemala, MX, and others to strengthen their respective law enforcement and judicial efforts to fight crime, drug cartels, and gangs. In other words, what can be done to reduce the pressures on children to flee their countries. It sounds like an uphill battle and it will take time and money to make any major headway, but at least there's a recognition of addressing the source of the problems.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
