May 10th update - Note different location!
Literacy Kansas City is a wonderful local non-profit organization in which I have served as a tutor, volunteer, and donor since 2008. LiteracyKC has a special fundraiser scheduled with California Pizza Kitchen for Monday, June 9th, so I am moving our meetup for one night to help with LiteracyKC fundraising.
20% of your check will go to LiteracyKC if and only if you bring this flyer with you and present it to your server. According to the fundraiser rules, I cannot bring copies of the flyer for distribution at the restaurant, so make sure that you print it out before going to the meetup.
Besides the fundraiser, advantages of California Pizza Kitchen over our usual meeting place include a later closing time (10 pm instead of 9 pm) and the availability of alcoholic beverages. The food and service are excellent as well.
Free parking is available in the parking garage east of CPK.
Let's meet again to think and speak about topics that you might not have the opportunity to discuss anywhere else. As usual, we will talk about whatever we want. Eat if you want, think, and be merry.
