On September 17 we celebrated the 222nd birthday of our government. I've posted an article on the Message Board that I wrote and submitted to several newspapers. I'm pleased to report that it was published by at least a couple of them and it was also on the New Hampshire Free Press' website (http://newhampshirefreepress.com).
I’ve put together a list of websites that you may find useful for reference purposes. They are:

Caesar Rodney Institute (http://www.caesarrodney.org/)

)
ReasonOnline (http://www.reason.com/)
Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Constitution
)
Also, with several states recently declaring their sovereignty citing the 10th Amendment, I’m including links to the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kentucky_and_Virginia_Resolu...
, http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Kentucky_Resolutions_of_179...
, http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Kentucky_Resolutions_of_179...
, and http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Virginia_Resolutions_of_179...
).
There is a legal precept that predates the Magna Carta that “The created can never be higher than the creator.” Although the government was created by “We the People,” Congress has made choices that ignore that natural law. Daniel Webster wrote: “Make them intelligent, and they will be vigilant; give them the means of detecting the wrong, and they will apply the remedy.” Please, check out the online Constitution classes taught by Michael Badnarik: http://www.archive.org/details/Michael_Badnarik
. You'll be richly rewarded for your effort.
Bill Morris (founder of the Libertarian Party of Delaware) spoke at the Wilmington Tax Day Tea Party (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WLJcPc_U1c&feature=Pl...
), as did I (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF-oNTqbDNQ&feature=Pl...
). I've posted my prepared remarks and impressions on the Message Board.
Also, there are a few books I've read recently (and not so recently) that I believe must be mentioned. I became totally impressed with Thomas J. DiLorenzo when I read "Hamilton's Curse - How Jefferson's Archenemy Betrayed the American Revolution and What It Means for America Today." Since then, I've read "Lincoln Unmasked" and "How Capitalism Saved America." You should know that DiLorenzo is with the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He's an economics professor in Maryland and a senior fellow with Mises. This guy can write. Another book that I can't recommend highly enough is Henry Hazlitt's "Economics in One Lesson." While reading it you'll understand, if you don't already, why the networks have economists on their TV news shows every night. He makes the complex available to a guy like me...not the brightest bulb on the tree. A good historical overview is "The Politically Incorrect [but entirely accurate] Guide to American History" by Thomas E. Woods, Jr., Ph.D.
Fox News has a feature that’s only available online that, in my opinion, is well worth your time. The program Freedom Watch is streamed live daily (well, most weekdays, anyway). From the first time I watched it I was quite impressed. The show is hosted by Judge Andrew Napolitano. Guests have included libertarians Congressman Ron Paul, Peter Schiff of Euro Pacific Capital (http://www.europac.net) and an announced candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate from Connecticut, David Boaz (Executive V.P., Cato Institute), Lew Rockwell, and others. The show can be accessed at http://freedomwatchonfox.com.
Thanks for dropping by. You don't have to be a registered Libertarian Party member to hang out with us although that would be nice. Please, join our group and come along for the ride!
