Do you ever ask "Why do I sit around in pubs once a week to discuss economics and social philosophy?".  I do - seems odd and, dare I say, a little pointless sometimes.  Maybe so, but it is also the way some of the most influential movements in all human history have spread (think Christianity & Socialism).  No reading assignment this week but I'll share a few nuggets from Nik's "handbook" on the functioning & purpose(s) of small group gatherings like ours.
