Liberty on the Rocks Happy Hour: How Media Influences Society

Revolt of the Independent Mind:

Liberty & Mass Media (happy hour discussion)

Join fellow libertarians in Denver for another night of social networking and fun discussion!

More on our topic for discussion:

Ever wondered how media influence the way people think about society? Want to know what shapes people's beliefs about the state? Then come to LOTR this Wednesday, September 4, to hear from independent scholar Tobin Spratte, who will answer these and other questions about liberty and mass communication.

Tobin Spratte is a self-employed writer and thinker who lives in Denver, Colorado. He holds a master's degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Colorado and has written extensively on public opinion, philosophy, history, and psychology. He has authored two books, both available at For the Good of All Mankind: Public Culture and the Morality of Capitalism in the United States and what he describes as "a political thriller disguised as a romance novel," When Love Speaks.
