Sunday Poker is on! Mike Murphy, a regular of the group and a friend of mine, offered to host a Sunday game. Football, BBQ, and poker.

$20 buy-in and unlimited re-buys allowed until a designated time.

Didn't see a response earlier so assumed it was cancelled with just 2-3 players. I even bought hot dogs, rolls and beer for the BBQ. :-D
    Well, hopefully next time ....
Thanks for trying, Mike, and sorry for all the last minute drops.

Sorry I didn't reply a couple hours before the event. I was busy getting things ready. In the future, I will be sure to check the meetup comments before the event.

Until what time will you be playing poker? If someone busts out early, perhaps I can stop by. I will be working in SF until 6:30 p.m. and am 15 minutes away. BBQ, Football, and Poker...what a wonderful idea! No worries if the tables are full...there's always another time. Thanks for hosting Mike!

Bummer! Wish I knew about it earlier. I hope this doesn't discourage you from hosting again. I hope to be playing with you sometime soon...sorry to hear about all the last minute cancellations.

Just to let everyone know, I spent 2 hours cleaning my apartment in order to host this party - went out and bought charcoal for the grill, wood for the fire pit, marinated chicken legs for 3 hours, beer for the fridge, etc. I am really frustrated that people decided to cancel last-minute and ruin this entire event along with the one that decided to piggy-back off of my event in order to have his own instead ! I planned this way ahead and had people on a waiting list that would have played. So in the future, if you are unsure whether or not you can make it to a meetup - DON'T REPLY YES TO A MEETUP!

Hey Guys! Sorry but I have to cancel. I have some family making an impromptu visit so I have to play tour guide all day Sunday. I definitely want to meet up next time and become a regular part of the group to play some cards. Enjoy and go Niners!

From the event title, I get the Poker and the Sunday Football references (game on TV), but what does the BBQ mean? Should we be bringing something to share, as in a BBQ potluck????

    September 3, 2013

    • Joshua S.

Yes, feel free. Mike plans on getting the BBQ going. :)

Hey guys - I signed up for this but have decided to host a $100 buy-in (no re-buys) tourney in the Mission instead starting at 3 pm. And a cash game starting at 430 pm. If any of you are interested in either let me know. If you are interested in smaller stakes tourney let me know too. I'm sure we can come up with an amount that is amenable to all.

All that said, I have to bail on this Lazy Sunday Poker for Sept. 8.
