On Sunday, July 21ST, beginning at 12:00 Noon we will be having a Buffet Style Brunch followed by the movie, "The Shop Around the Corner" from 1940. This classic film stars the one and only James Stewart and Margaret Sullivan. The movie will begin at approximately 1:30 PM. This will take place on the first level of The Central located in Mirvish Village, just one block west of Bathurst Station. The total cost for the brunch and movie is just $10.00 including all taxes. The Shop Around the Corner is a romantic comedy from 1940, produced and directed by Ernst Lubitsch. Two clerks, played by James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan, working in the same gift shop in Hungary can hardly stand one another. Neither one of them realize that they’re falling in love with each other as anonymous pen pals. The Shop Around the Corner receives a 100% rating from Rottentomatoes.com and an 80% rating from IMDB.com. The movie, "You’ve Got Mail", starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan is the modern remake of this classic film.
