About The Author

Wolf Schimanski is a man of many interests and talents. He is trained in full-contact martial arts, enjoys a variety of sports, and is an accomplished guitarist and musician. Professionally, Schimanski has worked for many years in the information technology, management, and financial planning industries. An avid reader turned breakthrough author, Schimanski brings his own unique spin to the action thriller genre, and has thus far released two exceptionally gripping, fast-paced works of fiction—Meter of Deception and Meter of Corruption. Schimanski lives with his wife, Terri, near Mt. Forest, Ontario, Canada, where he is currently working on his third novel, the final installment in the Meter trilogy.

Complimentary appetizers will be served as Wolf talks about his books and answers questions. Let's also support our friends at The Central by ordering a bite to eat and or a glass of beer or wine.

We will also be holding a free draw for an autographed copy of Meter Of Corruption!!

METER OF CORRUPTION

Jon-Erik, Joey, Angel, and Tina have been through some severe tough times together, and they’ve made it through to the other side. But just as things are finally calming down and starting to go smoothly for them, chaos reenters their lives, and it threatens to destroy everything they hold dear.

This highly anticipated sequel to author Wolf Schimanski’s debut novel Meter of Deception finds the fearless foursome comfortably settled into a domestic paradise. Jon-Erik and Angel as well as Joey and Tina have settled down and are engaged to be married, and the men are working together as partners in Joey’s family furniture business.

But corporate shark Richard Rasmussin has his sights set on their business, and he’s determined to swallow it whole. A ruthless, underhanded, crooked man, he’ll stop at nothing until he takes hold of the business, and he’ll do whatever it takes to make sure that no one interferes with his larger, wide-sweeping wicked schemes.

Can these four friends muster up the courage and skill to survive Rasmussin’s attacks? Or will they fall victim to corruption, depravity, and danger that is unprecedented even for them?

The second installment in the Meter trilogy, Meter of Corruption, follows the protagonists as they battle to protect their lives and livelihoods from the sinister web that threatens to suffocate them. Full of non-stop action, unexpected plot twists, and spine-tingling revelations, this page-turner spans wayward and exotic locations, such as Jamaica and Russia, and delves into an underworld so dark and diabolical it’ll leave you at a loss for words.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!!

Pleasant, casual get-together with a bunch of nice and friendly people. And at the same time we had the pleasure of hanging out with a couple of interesting and talented authors. Good conversations, tasty food. I would say that's a pretty cool way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.

Very well organized, yet relaxed and laid back event. Nice venue and delish finger-foods.

The authors were extremely friendly. I didn't get a chance to meet many of you, but found the vibe to be highly positive and welcoming. Interesting and stimulating conversation all around, hope to see you all again at the next event! (The free comic books as a parting gift on the way out didn't hurt either.) Much thanks to Alex for organizing this great event!

What a great afternoon with some great reads! It was great seeing Wolf and Terri and wonderful to talk to Ted Yates and his amazing career. I started reading Wolf's book on the way home and the plot with Toronto as it's setting really makes you feel like you're part of the story. Thanks again, Alex, for a great literary event. And congratulations to Ted and Wolf.

2 days to go and the "Meter is running". Terri and I are really looking forward to this event at the Central as it will be our first opportunity to bring our books to a Toronto audience. We do a lot of shows all over Ontario but are especially excited for this event as both books are actually based out of Toronto and it is high time you the Toronto residents get a chance to see, touch and learn about the books first hand. And for all you Rock and Roll fans (us included) Ted Yates looks forward to sharing his stories about interviewing famous rock & roll personalities such as the Beach Boys and many, many others as well as share his books and his wealth of knowledge. Cheers !

Happy Easter everyone ! Little more than 2 weeks till the big event. For those of you coming to the event, we thank you kindly and look forward to meeting with you. For those of you still on the fence, it is never to late to get off and get on the band wagon. Our special guest, DJ and author Ted Yates will undoubtedly have many interesting facts and stories about rock & roll in the classic and best era, the 60's, 70's and 80's and we will try to give you some insight into the mind of an action/thriller author and how "Meter of Deception" and "Meter of Corruption" came to be.
    Cheers !

Hi Debra, I always have something to wet my whistle during my runs. Just being funny. Thanks so much for the offer but I am already in Brampton April 16th for another matter. But looking forward to seeing you and everyone else May 3rd at the Central !!

Hey Wolf if you want a dry run, I'm having an open Mic night at my library next Thursday. Mostly poetry, but there will be a few other readings as well. Inbox me if you're interested and/or available. If not, see you in May!

We are proud to present two entirely different genre's to you. The scintillating world of action/thrillers and the exciting and historical world of 60's, 70's and 80's rock which will always stand the test of time. You do not want to miss this one!!

Another interesting fact about our books "Meter of Deception" and "Meter of Corruption" is that a lot of the action that occurs is based out of areas in Toronto, as Markus has mentioned, that a lot of group members should know very well. Of course far away exotic locations such as Key West, Argentina, Jamaica, Russia and many more including the mysteriousTristan D'Cunha Islands and foreboding Plum Island also abound !!

Hi Suzanne. Not sure if this option would be applicable for us since we order our books from our U.S. publisher and they are already available online but would certainly be interested in speaking with you further about it. Why not pop by the event, have a bite and we can chat?

Hey Wolf, Congrats on the publication of the #2 book in the "Meter" series. You must be proud an excited. I enjoyed reading the first book "Meter of Deception" very much and am looking forward to the next adventures of the main characters. I think the books are especially interesting for everyone living in the Toronto GTA since a lot of the action takes place in and around the city. Folks from T.O. will recognize a lot of the locations mentioned in the books. It's a really cool additional piece that makes it an even more interesting read. You can almost imagine yourself in the story since you know exactly where some of the places are located. Good Luck and lots of success with the books!

Markus...thank you so much for the kind words. It means so much. Looking forward to seeing you soon and this book is already turning some heads. Look out James Patterson, the "Meter" series is coming to T.O !!

My writers' group has commissioned a non-profit site -- www.litbrowser.com -- where writers can post, gain exposure, feedback, sell and keep 96% of the cover price. Readers gain access to original works, talk to the authors, and see their feedback reflected in the writing. The economically inclined will appreciate The Lit Outlet Store! Check out our holding page, and leave your info if you'd like to be notified when the site goes live (early May).

Thanks Hilary. We really appreciate the support. We are really excited about this event as it will be our first opportunity to come to Toronto and showcase our novels. And why not do it for a nice group of folks like this group? It will be a fun afternoon and we know everyone will enjoy our special guest as well. He is an accomplished author and radio personality and looks forward to meeting everyone and sharing some interesting stories from his exciting real life experiences. We hope to see and meet as many of you as the Central can hold !!

Regarding your note about the book signing being a Kingston reunion, didn't we vow that what happened in Kingston stayed in Kingston? ;-)

We don't have to talk about what happened. :)

Hello Debra and Life Begins members. Yes, we will have copies of both books available for sale and ready to autograph. Terri and I look forward to sharing a terrific afternoon in the Artistic Annex area of T.O. with everyone and we are excited to bring our "Meter" series finally to Toronto out of which they are actually based. We look forward to meeting as many action/thriller fans as possible that day and thank Alex and Lucan from the Central for making this special day happen for all of us ! See you all there !!
