Revisiting our Past Topics

As our last meetup was on Memories, and Life’s Third Trimester has been meeting now for almost a full year, I thought we would go down memory lane and revisit some of our past topics.  They never grow old (as do our bodies, but not our minds) , We have noted so often, that as we travel through time, our perspectives change and change.

So here is a list of topics we have explored over the last year.  They may bring up “memories”, they may evoke some new thoughts. Either way, we can share our outlooks on them together over this next year. Perhaps we’ll intersperse past topics every month or so just to try it out. I’ve often thought “Life’s Third Trimester” could be a book (dare I dream of that??).

What do you think?

Don't really know what I'm doing, but it seems the only way I can post a picture of our last meeting is to make it my FB Profile picture and post that... Now you can move it to wherever, eh, Sandy? Help!

Oh Caroline you'll need to email them to me and I'll post. Thanks

If you guys discuss sex again -- before school starts up and I'm locked out of your time zone -- I'll commute. I'll be watching this space to check.

I loved it!! E are so fortunate to have such extraordinary members. Our conversations ranged from the first time we came to this meetup group to revisiting favorite topics and why we liked them. Yes sex was up there at the top!!! Photos of our celebration to follow. Stay tuned for the next big

Golly gee whiz - I wrote a comment but it didn't stick to the site. I can't tell yet if I can come although I really want to. I'm in the throes of downsizing from 877 sq. ft. to 450 sq. ft and am feeling quite nutty trying to decide what to keep, toss, give, or store!
Does this strike a familiar chord? If I can get away I will because meeting with you good people is warm (not temperature - just emotional) and energizing. Lea Goodwine

Lea, it certainly strikes a familiar chord with me. I've moved so frequently and always the lyrics to an old Bob Seegar song resonate in my head: "what to leave in, what to leave out?" BTW - nice seeing you at Sandy's!

I really want to come but I'm in the throes of downsizing from 877 square feet to 420 square feet and feeling kind of nutty trying to decide what to keep, toss, give, store! It's awful as most of you know. If I can, I'll be there for being with you all lifts my spirit and energizes me. Lea Goodwine

Sandy - Got your message about the anniversary. Personally, I loved hearing about the Westin, which I love on "Martini Fridays." MUCH prefer a drink to a cake!

I've rescheduled the facial in order to attend. Perhaps if you announce to Jane and Gayle that the sex topic will again be visited, they'll show up!

The first group I came to was in January and was all about sex in the third trimester--what happened to that topic?! That was a lively conversation!

    1 · May 30, 2013

    • Sandy M.

You are right Gayle. It dawned on me just yesterday, so I'm checking to see if I missed any others too. I'll add in our "sex" topic now.

      May 31, 2013

    • Sandy M.

Sure enough, there are a few more, I'm adding them as I find them.

    Right-on Gayle! I think we bonded--as a Group--because of the forthrightness of that topic/meeting

I thought we weren't until June !!. When did ti change back to June 4?

    May 30, 2013

    • Sandy M.

Oh Cheryl - I've been trying to get back to the first and third Tuesdays and have had trouble, so now I've gotten it scheduled out for at lest the next three months with hopefully no changes.

  • Sandra K.

Thank you Brenda Joyce. Yes I did have throes three.

My past is a "Soap" I had and lost 5 family groups before I was 10. I never knew form one monument to the next where I would be or whom I would be with. I went to 22 different schools before I graduate from High School. (GPA 3.75)
I do not have any "warm and fuzzy" memories from my childhood.
I worked hard to become the stable "mentally balanced" productive member of society that I am now. I am not interested in memories or going over the past!

Hi everyone. I could attend the Tuesday meetings now because my afternoon piano students have switched to mornings with summer vacation. However, being in the Third Trimester involves priorities -- like how far do I have to go and how much gas will it take? That Ward 6 building is very far away for me -- 30 minutes from my house. So even though I would like to be there in more than spirit, my mind says it's not a great idea. I'm still wishing you all well, however. The www.abileneloving.com site is up if you want to take a look.

So nice to hear from you Jane. Glad you are doing well and hope to see you anytime. The site here is a good place to stay in touch as well if you want. I'm going to check out yours shortly and leave a comment too.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
