Bless the Homeless Event - May 2013

Bless the Homeless Event


1st Saturday of each month

We will distribute clothing to

homeless men, women and children


We are accepting donations of all clothing items and shoes

We also need shelving units and clothing racks


Volunteers are needed to bring the items below for the blessing bags


Toothbrush and cover



Shaving cream and razors

Hair brush or comb

Face towel

Soap and soap cover

Conditioning shampoo

Feminine hygiene products (tampons or pads)

Laundry detergent (family basket)

Bleach (family basket)

Dryer sheets (family basket)

Dishwashing soap (family basket)


These are everyday things that can be bought in any dollar store that we can make such a difference in a homeless person's life

You can sign up for these things on our volunteer sign in sheet

Volunteers can also bring snacks such as fruit, salty and sweet treats

in our little snack packs


We will be sorting and packaging from 10:30am to 12pm

at the Norcross storage unit

Medlock Commons Self Storage

3120 Medlock Bridge Rd

Suite 100 (in the rear)

Norcross, GA

Medlock Commons Business Park

From 12:30pm to 1:00pm, we will be passing out the blessings

on the streets of Atlanta

We are also adopting needy families in the community who are need of basic necessities.  We will donating family baskets to them.

    Can any volunteer definatly attending tomorrow's Bless the Homeless event meet me this evening to hand off donated pastries??? I am unable to attend bur have collected a small load to give away! I can meet you ANYWHERE before 6pm!!! Thank you in advance

    AT&T is donating hundreds of binders for our back to school supply drive. I need a few volunteers in the Buckhead area to pick them up. If you are live or work in that area and are available for this pick up, please let me know.
