    (GLIRABFPCNERAHOQPGC) Whew!

Last Sunday was my last available day for the Limerick group. When I leave Tamworth on Oct. 18, I'm going to remove my name from membership. I'll rejoin next summer when I get back home. I've loved the group and the games we've been playing. Thanks, White Pelican!

I do like pelicans, by the way. Seaguls too.

Arizona has games too. I belong to a MeetUp group that has a session at Denny's every Friday evening and another session every Saturday, afternoon through evening.

Randomly picking weekend of 26th? Any in favor?

I enjoyed the meetup at Kathleen's house and I would enjoy doing it again. I think Brunswick is too far from North Conway. My travel limit would be a rough circle through Ossipee (NH), Limerick, Naples, Gorham (NH), and Twin Mountain (NH.) If there is another meetup within my travel distance I would like to know about it. It doesn't matter to me what it is called as long as I can still recognize it.

    Kathleen, have a good trip.

We usually play in Limerick, but no reason remote games can't happen too. Glad to hear you enjoyed youself! Its a good group for sure.

fyi...I personally don't mind/care about the group name...just having fun. These acronyms sure are cute though.

Alright... does anyone have any preferences with regard to the next meeting of the Greater Limerick Inter-Regional Association of Boardgame Fanciers, Post-Colonial New England Residents, and Highly Over-Qualified Peanut Gallery Commentators? From what I understand, they are trying to stage a big session around halloween to play some Werewolf.

Sat 19 is the BGG meetup in Brunswick, I could do the 26th or Nov 2. Not sure about Sundays right now

Nice to meet some new faces. Great to know we have a small core of gamers in the greater Limerick area now.
Now that the land area of our members covers approximately 4400 square kilometers from Yarmouth to Portsmouth to Tamworth to Bridgeton... (I'm geeky enough to actually go look it up for a minute on a land area site)...
...we should change the group name to The People's Northeast New England Cardboard Collective :)

A certain someone would love to have some admin help with said collective. ;)

To be fair, if you want to attract new people to the group, that name might be too subtle as to be passed over.

I'm in Naples though I frequently travel to Portland. My friend Aarin (who may be coming tomorrow) lives in North Yarmouth and we frequently get together at his house to play. In fact, as I think about it, we're getting together this coming Friday in the evening.

A.H., I bet your wish will come true later in October. This particular session has been changed several times. Finally it got moved to my house because the main Limerick gamer wasn't going to be there anyway.

    October 5, 2013

Does anyone else actually live near limerick? Just abut confused about why the meetup is being held far away. I wouldn't mind arranging a time to game closer later this month.

Yes, Sue's surgery went well and she started her teaching job again this past week, but she's tired, as expected. Good surgery, seems like success but time will tell over a bunch more PT.

Oh, Tim F., I hope you're feeling okay on Sunday. I'd love to have you come. Too bad we didn't hear from you before we made the change in location.
Jason, I'll expect you around 9.
Tim W., when do you plan to arrive?
Bill, driving through Conway on Sunday won't be fun. West Side Road might help. See you around noon. Welcome to the group.

My house: It's across from White Lake State Park on Rt. 16. The community is called Tamworth Pines. But it's easier to find 1701 by looking for the DUNKIN' DONUTS sign. Turn there.

At the stop sign inside my park, turn LEFT. Go to the end of the street and around the corner. My house is the first one on the left. You'll see the RV, the garage, and the house. You can see the lot number sign - 43. Park in my driveway (first to arrive, park way up so someone can park behind you). If there's no more room in the driveway, park on the grass in front of the RV. Please don't park on the new grass on the other side.

    October 5, 2013

  • Timothy F.

That's a bit of a distance. I'll see how I'm feeling on Sunday. (I might be getting sick)

    October 4, 2013

I won't get there before noon and I would like a description of your house.

Okay, guys. My house. 1701 White Mountain Highway, Lot 43, Tamworth 03886.
I'll be up and dressed by 8 am. You can come anytime from 8 on and you can stay as long as you want.
Neat! I don't have to pack games.

I don't think this will be an issue, but DON'T try to drive through Fryeburg. It's the last day of the fair. You haven't commented, Tim F., so I hope this is okay with you.

I can do either one, the restaurant for a few games or Tamworth for a longer game day, probably wouldn't be there until 9ish for Tamworth though.

    October 4, 2013

  • white p.

Aww.. thanks... but life ought to continue without me on this occasion. Would love to play, but sadly have a few thngs that must get done, and I cannot reschedule. No sure what time the millopens, but I can't imagine they would care if you hung out. Another option would be hungry hollow, which is at the top of the hill (in town). Should be reasonable quiet and clean there, and they are open for breakfast.

My house is always available. But I think I'm too far from Jason for it to be a viable option for this Sunday. What do you think, Jason? I live in Tamworth, NH, which is about an hour from Gorham. Do you want to make the drive or would you prefer Peppermill.
White Ibis, will the Peppermill let us hang out there from 7:30 am until we decide we've had enough?
And I'll miss you, wherever we end up.
Tim W., I think we should save the noise and chaos for another time.

    October 4, 2013

  • Tim W.

I'll offer my place for Sunday if you all want to do that.
I have 2 small boys and 2 dogs, and we'll have tons of noise and chaos around, if you don't mind.
Jason and other Tim, you interested in coming to Wakefield, NH? (I'm less than a mile from the Maine border).
Kathleen, are you interested in hosting 4 for a 'quieter' time. The days of large time slots for gaming are few and far between these days. Let me know. I need my cardboard fix!

    October 4, 2013

  • white p.

Alright... the decision has been made for me... can't make it happen. I will schedule another session later in the month (more gaming!), but I need to sit this one out... many apologies.

Tim F., what was the game we played that also started with "E" like Eclipse?
Tim W., yes, bring Firenze. And bring Ora. And bring Bruges. Mine is still in shrink. Who knows which ones we'll have time for.
NO AP ALLOWED!!!! We won't have time for that.

    October 3, 2013

  • Timothy F.

I have Eclipse and the expansion and am happy to play it.

    October 2, 2013

    • white p.

We'll have to get together and play eclipse at some point soon, even if it is just 2 player... such a great game

      October 3, 2013

  • Tim W.

I'll pack Ora. Yeah, it's a fabulous game. I love it, but not sure it could be everyone's cup of tea. (but all games are like that). I don't have Brass. Yeah, I'd like to get Bruges to the table (I finally played my copy just the other night). But the other fun one, I think a lot of peeps would like is Firenze. Anyone out there heard of want to learn Eclipse?

Tim W., do you have Brass or Ora et Labora? If so, do you think they'd be good choices for Sunday? I'll be bringing Guildhall and maybe one of the new Feld games I just received. Does anyone have a preference for one Feld game over another? I own Bruges, Bora Bora, Rialto, and bunches of older ones: Macao, Castles of Burgundy, In the Year of the Dragon, Notre Dame, Trajan, and Luna. (also Roma, but that's 2-player)

I changed the notice from Saturday to Sunday and the time from afternoon to morning.

Great, Tim W.! I'm glad you can make it.

I can't do Saturday, but can do a Sunday morning till 5p kind of thing on the 6th, if anyone can change. I've missed the last few, and miss you guys! (Nice to see Kathleen and WP already mentioned Sunday). Sunday, then? :)
I can host also, if you guys want (but to let y'all know, I have a noisy gaggle of children...ok...2, but they sound like 5).

Someone suggest some official times for early and/or midday for Sunday, and I'm in!

It doesn't have to be Saturday. Sunday would really be a better day for me. They'll be gaming at the Jetpack games store in Rochester on Saturday afternoon - evening. I haven't RSVPed that one yet, but two days of gaming are always better than one. So, everyone, how about Sunday? White Egret, would that have to be a morning session too?

    September 26, 2013

  • Timothy F.

I can not do Saturday as I have already committed to going to a friend's roller Derby bout on the same day at 5pm. I could manage Sunday. However I could do the suggested morning endeavour of Saturday.

    Bacon and eggs anyone?

    September 26, 2013

  • white p.

Timing might be difficult for me, but I certainly encourage folks to arrage something. Obviously might require a change from normal location... maybe... but there is certainly room at the mill.

Would anyone consider breakfast and boardgames? Early morning game?

    630am to 1 or 2 pm?

No need to game into weee hours of night...
